Lena Dunham ditched the pale purple from fictional good friend Marnie's women' marriage ceremony in choose of sequins at true-life buddy Audrey Gelman's Detroit nuptials over the weekend.

Serving as a bridesmaid for the P.R. consultant's wedding to Genius.com's co-founder Ilan Zechory, Dunham donned a beige colored turtleneck with a bright, custom-made sequin skirt crafted with the apparent blessing of J.Crew creative director Jenna Lyons.

Posing alongside the eight different member's of the bride's wedding birthday celebration, Dunham accessorized the seem to be with socks and shiny gold loafers.

"What happens when @jcrew goddess Jenna Lyons lets a bunch of loopy b------ customize their skirts... right here we go #gomezandmorticia," Dunham wrote on Instagram.

a close-up of the wonderful ensembles – captioned, as it should be, "The devil is within the details" – revealed that the intricately decorated skirts featured vari ous preliminary patches and floral appliqués.

Gelman – who previously dated photographer Terry Richardson – and Zechory noted "I do" at Detroit's Piquette Plant, a museum and former Ford factory. The bride greatly surprised in a white lace gown, and wore her down in free waves.

Dunham appears to be content as just a bridesmaid for now, regardless of her longterm relationship with musician Jack Antonoff.

"I feel intimidated because, I do not want to espouse any stereotypes, however homosexual individuals are kind of killing it at weddings presently," the 29-year-old actress informed Ellen DeGeneres closing fall. "they may be kind of successful at weddings. So, I don't want to go in and simply faded in comparison."

She persisted, "I suggest we own a dog together. We personal a home together, however the marriage aspect is a big deal." She admitted, although, that she is worked up to marry Antonoff "at some aspect."
