Philadelphia Couple Celebrates 70th marriage ceremony Anniversary - CBS local

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — As we head into wedding season, one lengthy-lasting couple indicates us how it's executed.

Dorothy and Joe Waldonski celebrated 70 years of marriage on Saturday. The couple's 4 toddlers, ten grandchildren and eleven high-quality-grandchildren were amongst those celebrating. What's the key to durability and marriage?

"Don't go to bed mad! they are saying that, it's true," Dorothy pointed out.

Joe agreed.

"No, certainly not go to bed angry. all the time kiss and make up," he talked about.

He remembered back to the starting and recalls placing up a little little bit of a fight for her coronary heart, but finally won out.

"well, once we were relationship, I talked about I'm no longer going to let that woman get away," he stated. "besides the fact that she had 15 boyfriends! I figured, I'm gonna compete and that i received out!"

Theresa Repetski turned into a bridesmaid on the couple's 1946 wedding when they were 19 and 23 years old.

"The handiest aspect that's different is the music," Repetski mentioned. "They use lousy Disney tune now!"
