Tax collector seeks public's aid in finding homeowners of Nineteen Thirties OHS rings - Ocala

Marion County Tax Collector George Albright is on a mission that doesn't involve your cash — or your vote. he's making an attempt to join two ancient Ocala excessive school class rings with their owners or the homeowners' families.

Albright these days sent a letter about this to the big name-Banner. right here's the letter:

ok residents of Marion County, we need your help.

a few year ago on the north shore seashore of Lake Weir, a 1935 Ocala excessive college woman's class ring was discovered, with the initials "BR" interior it. I currently shared this story at my Kiwanis membership, and it led to a local gentleman informing me he had a 1936 Ocala excessive school woman's category ring in his possession. This ring has the initials "SFB" in it. What are the options?

we now have contacted the native public library and three of the local college libraries. None of them have the 1935 and 1 936 Ocala excessive college yearbooks for us to assess the rings' owners. the two common ring owners would be around a hundred years ancient now, so we suspect we are trying to find their little ones and grandchildren. both americans who presently own the rings wish to return the rings to the original households.

The 1935 and 1936 classes probably would have had most effective two dozen or so girls in each class. as a consequence as soon as we have the year books, this should still be a reasonably effortless reunion. Any guidance which you can provide us with a yearbook or a lead, please contact me at galbright@mariontax.com.
